Schools
The
city has a good network of schools. There are Marathi schools, English
medium and Convent schools. Most of the schools are for boys or girls. Most
schools follow the SSC Board i.e. the State Board examination pattern. There
are a few schools, which follow the CBSE i.e. the Central Board of Secondary
Education examination pattern. The admission procedure starts in April. The
schools also teach subjects pertaining to foreign language where in at the
secondary level they have a choice of selecting a foreign language like
German or French. Other subjects like Algebra, Geometry, Science Language,
are compulsory.
